she's come undone

Your heart of wax
Light them up to conquer the dark
So many souls you’re trying to save
Light the path to no one’s grave.

Fasten your faith to a crippled mind
Everything has crumbled with this twisted fate
A wounded soldier unprepared for war
Arms and legs, all these, they crave.

You are vulnerable,
You are weak
They took advantage, not hearing you speak
As the shadows of you creep into the night
It wanders into the dark,
trying with all your might.

Suffocating and breathless
As they indulge in this surrendered defeat
Weeping silence, echoes not making a sound
Giving up the ghost that once was found.

Redeem yourself for the sake of others
For all the battles that you need to conquer
You know either way you’ll fall
And yet you still choose to save them all.

A mother,
A daughter,
A friend,
A lover.

She’s come undone.
I wonder who will save her now.

a sad fairytale

the sun shines its truest beauty
with her eyes closed, she cannot see
as she sits by the lake in recollection
in her pink, flowing gown

the words echo in her head
‘you are my princess’ he said
‘I promise not to leave your side
and soon you will become my bride’

time passed as she waits still
to a lovely promise she holds dear
as she puts her tiara to her heart
‘where are you my prince…
and the promise to never part?’

the moon shines its truest beauty
with her eyes closed, she cannot see
as she sits by the lake in recollection
in her pink, flowing gown

her fate sits with her
as she waits for her prince charming to come

futile

the bird flies on the horizon,
trailing behind you.

you turned your face once,
or was it twice?

it did not falter,
losing some feathers along the way.

you knew it was in pain,
as you turned around one last time.

and then it stopped
a sad look cast upon its face,
signaling the end of the chasing game.

                ###

the bird flies again on the horizon
with a wounded heart that it knew will never heal.
it flies and it falls,
it now knows how to love in vain.

black and blue

it comes again.

the time freezes,
the surroundings choose to stop
for a few seconds,
not even a minute.

like the wind,
it breezes into my mind,
a wistful memoir.

as I welcome this pause,
this silence,
this thought,
this melancholy moment with you.

the struggles of the pink moon

hope tried to detach itself from reality,
now it's the other way around.
how can i become the sun when i am the moon,
watching you spin.

as i watch you spin,
the stars are here to watch with me.
without their glow.
not wanting to distract you,
hoping you don't realize it too late.

as a last resort, the moon tried pulling closer to the sun

yet it remained stubborn.

it was necessary to make you possible

it did not move, not even an inch.

and it’s not even possible.

it had to.
not a moment of victory,
nor of failure.
it chooses to,
because it had no choice.
